Sierra is originally from Columbus, Ohio. She began playing tennis at age 3 and started playing competitively by the age of 8. By the age of 11 she was top 3 in the Midwest section and top 20 in the nation. She then made the move to an academy setting at the age of 12, working in Aventura, Florida. She was homeschooled through Florida Virtual School until graduation of high school in 2013. During her junior career she competed in USTA and ITF circuits. Highlight achievement competing in all USTA Super Nationals receiving two silver balls in her journey. She also won multiple National Open titles and a Midwest Closed. Having a career high ranking of #14 in the Nation as a junior player. In college she played #1- #3 singles and #1 and #2 doubles for UNC Charlotte. She continues to play the sport, and currently reached a career high ranking of #427 in the ITF world rankings in doubles reaching her first career final in Colombia this November.
